Nicholas
Thank you for sticking around, now you get to learn a little more about me. I am originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and just to clear the air, I really don't care about the Green Bay Packers. However, I do have a healthy obsession with beer and cheese...
I received my BFA in both Photography and Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2001. During the years that followed graduation, I spent time photographing my way through Europe, eventually settling in Arizona, where I fell in love with the beautiful Sonoran landscape. In 2004, curiosity, adventure, and a small dose of fate, brought me to Oahu where, one week after landing, I met my future wife.
In 2006, with support from my wife and family, I decided to pursue my passion and started Nicasello Photography. Since then, I've been blessed with assignments that have taken me around the world and back. My love of documenting the world around me reminds me of a quote by Edward Weston: "The camera should be used for a recording of life, for rendering the very substance and quintessence of the thing itself, whether it be polished steel or palpitating flesh." There are so many beautiful moments in our lives that make up the memories we hold dear, and I feel blessed that I am able to capture some of them.
I love shooting weddings and portraits, but I never limit myself to them. I believe there is always room for improvement, and I hate getting stuck in routines. You will see throughout my website a variety of images, from portraits and weddings, special events, concerts, to documentary travel assignments. I want to provide my clients with the best service and leave them with memories they can cherish for a lifetime.
Below is a list of clients I've had the pleasure to work with in the past, and some I still continue working with today. I hope you enjoy what you see here and if you are need of photography services, please don't hesitate to contact me. Aloha!
